How to play this free number recognition game
Look at the large number, then choose the same number from the buttons underneath. Level one practises 1–5 with three choices. Level two introduces 1–10 with four choices. Every number appears once in each level, in a shuffled order.
There is no time limit. A different choice brings a gentle prompt to try again. Use Next number to continue, Pause for a break, or Start again for a fresh game. You can use a mouse, touch screen or the Tab and Enter keys.
Practise together
Say the number aloud or point to matching shapes in the numerals. When your child wants to connect a number with a quantity, try Count and Match, our free object-counting game. Choose activities that fit your child’s interests and offer help where useful.
